Located in Pays de Duras, Gironde, an area fed by the River Garonne and only 90 km from Bordeaux. A perfect retreat and inspiration for the artistic and an artist studio has been created within the Barn. Easily accessible with interesting places to see nearby; a good house for larger parties.
The elegantly furnished and comfortable salon has a wood burner, framed by the open marble surround, and together with house heating ensures warmth throughout the year. There is a formal dining room and a well appointed family kitchen. The Master bedroom ensuite is on the ground floor, with a further three double bedrooms (2 ensuite) and four more bedrooms offered on the first floor (2 ensuite).
A large swimming pool (10m x 5m) has extensive au vent shade and dining area. Across the lawns is an independent little Pigeonnier where the resident House Managers live. An exterior barn is an artist studio, where art courses in ceramics, drawing, painting sculpture and printmaking can be arranged (at extra cost). Views extend over farm land to the forested slopes of the surrounding hills.
What we think: A comfortable family house with plenty of space for children to play. The Salon is complimented by a formal dining room. The three principal bedrooms en suite are on the ground floor. Easily accessible with interesting places to see nearby, a good house for larger parties.
