INTERNET, WI-FI & TELEVISION: If offered and available, the Owner cannot accept responsibility for any problems encountered in connecting to the internet or with television reception for reasons out of the Owner’s control. The supply of relevant plugs and cables to connect, are the responsibility of the client alone. Please note: the strength and speeds of internet signal can be significantly slower in areas outside major cities, especially if several people are using their devices to download material at the same time. Increasingly the advice we receive is that it may be necessary to monitor how many devices are logged on and appreciate there may be a limited download capacity. No equipment must be moved, or settings altered without the consent of the Owner.
FOOD ALLERGIES: All resident/local chefs/cooks cannot be responsible for any reaction to food allergies whilst staying at any Private Properties Abroad properties; it is the responsibility of the Client to ensure the food is prepared in accordance with their requirements.
WATER HAZARD: All water forms a hazard for unsupervised small children. Swimming pools etc are not enclosed unless stated. Water features, lakes and wells are found on many properties. Uneven levels and steps form a hazard. Should an accident occur neither the property Owners nor PPA accept any responsibility. Young children must be closely supervised at all times.
POOL: Dimensions are approximate. Pools are only functional during summer months. ** Pool heating, if functioning and available, is by request, at a supplement, to pay after departure. PPA cannot be held responsible for the breakdown of mechanical equipment such as pumps, boilers, filtration systems, domestic equipment, for the failure of public utilities such as water, gas and electricity. PPA cannot compensate for mechanical failure affecting swimming pool heating. Chemicals in pools are carefully regulated, however certain climatic conditions, including heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, etc, can affect the chemical balance. If this should occur, please notify the Caretaker or PPA; it can take 2-3 days to turn clear. You will appreciate this is beyond our control and whilst we will do our utmost to ensure a speedy resolution, we cannot pay compensation for the effects of adverse conditions of swimming pools. Pool liners and pool accessories, i.e. pool covers, springboard etc, must be treated with care, any damage will be charged.
POOL SECURITY: is the sole responsibility of the Client. Pools in France are either alarm monitored, hard electric cover or enclosed with locked gates. Please take advice on arrival as pool security is your own responsibility. POOL COVERS: Whether electric or manual are the responsibility of the Client. Children must not be allowed to activate or open pool covers. Please ensure all toys, etc, are removed from the pool at the end of the day, charges will apply if damage occurs to the pool system.
BEDS/COTS: Certain European beds can be smaller than UK beds; bed sizes are detailed in the house information. Properties may contain a cot and highchair: if you require such items, please advise us at time of booking; it may be possible to obtain extra equipment although a charge may apply. NB European cots do not necessarily comply with British Safety Standards, having lower and wider bars. It is always better to bring your own travel cots. Please travel with waterproof sheets for your children, if necessary.
MAID SERVICE: The staff housekeeping programme is set by the Owner, irrespective of minimum house party numbers. Cleaning hours are advised at the time of booking, supplementary hours maybe available by prior arrangement. Please note house staff work part time, may have other commitments, and do not work on local holidays – where neither refund nor substitute time will be forthcoming.
CLEANING ON DEPARTURE: Houses should be left in a tidy and clean state. Extra charges will apply if excessive cleaning service is necessary.

Burglar alarms should be used as instructed, safes used, and proper care taken against theft and burglary. Neither PPA nor the property Owner will accept responsibility for any loss, damage, or consequential losses due to theft or any other security related incident howsoever caused.
